What kind of mobile apps do we build?

We build iOS and Android apps with React Native, in two broad families: internal operations apps — field teams, warehouses, sales forces, inspections — and customer-facing apps integrated with your existing systems. A business app almost never lives alone, so the project includes the backend, the APIs and the admin panel your team uses to run it. We have been building software from Santiago, Chile for more than 10 years, and the mobile app is usually one piece of that larger system, not a standalone toy.

If your operation lives in logistics and transportation or healthcare, take a look at how we approach each industry: field-work and sensitive-data problems look more alike than you'd think.

Why React Native instead of fully native?

Because for the vast majority of business apps it delivers the same perceived quality from a single codebase: the app ships sooner, every improvement is released once instead of twice, and maintenance costs drop by nearly half. React Native powers massive consumer apps worldwide — it is not a shortcut, it is an engineering decision.

Fully native development (separate Swift and Kotlin builds) is justified when there are very specific hardware, graphics or extreme-performance requirements. If that is your case, we will say so during discovery, even if it means a smaller project for us.

How much does a mobile app cost, and how long does it take?

A focused app with a backend starts at around US$5,000; a mobile platform with complex integrations, offline mode or payments can exceed US$50,000. On timelines, a first working version takes 6 to 12 weeks, plus Apple and Google review days.

If you are still validating the business, don't start with the full app: our MVP development service exists exactly for that — ship the minimum that tests the hypothesis, then decide with data.

What happens after the app is published?

Publishing is kilometer zero, not the finish line. Mobile apps demand ongoing maintenance: Apple and Google change their systems and rules every year, libraries evolve, and production errors need to be seen before your users see them. That is why all our mobile projects include error monitoring from day one and an optional monthly maintenance plan. And since the code and the accounts stay under your name, you can run that plan with us — or with anyone else.

Why Freshwork

We are a small senior team: the same people who scope your app build it. We come from the world of business systems — not brochure apps — so integrating with your ERP, your payments or your operations doesn't scare us; it's the part we enjoy. We work in English and Spanish, on US East Coast hours most of the year, and the code is 100% yours. Have an app in mind? Tell us about it and we will reply within one business day.

How we approach it

01

Discovery and scoping

We define the flows the app must solve and what stays out of the first version. You leave with a clear price range and timeline.

02

Product design

Clickable prototypes of the key screens, validated with real users before writing code. On mobile, fixing things in design costs ten times less than in production.

03

Iterative build

Weekly releases you can install on your phone via TestFlight and Android test builds. Testing with real data and real devices starts early.

04

Publishing and evolution

We handle Apple and Google review, production error monitoring, and the updates that each new OS version demands.

What you get

  • App published on the App Store and Google Play under your company's name
  • Backend and admin panel running in production
  • Full source code ownership, with documentation
  • Error monitoring and a post-launch maintenance plan

Frequently asked questions

Native or React Native?

For the vast majority of business apps, React Native delivers native-grade quality from a single codebase for iOS and Android, which cuts cost and speeds up every release. We only recommend fully native builds for very specific hardware or graphics-intensive requirements — and if that is your case, we will tell you during discovery.

How much does mobile app development cost?

A focused app with a backend starts at around US$5,000, and a complex mobile platform can exceed US$50,000. The range depends on flows, integrations and whether you need offline support. After the free discovery session we give you a firm price range.

How long does it take to build an app?

A first working version takes 6 to 12 weeks, plus app store review time. If you need to validate the business before investing in the full app, we start with an MVP and grow from there.

Who publishes the app to the stores?

We manage the whole process, but the App Store and Google Play accounts are registered under your company, just like the code. If you ever want to switch vendors, you don't depend on us.
