The problem
The Universidad de Chile club has one of the largest fan bases in Chilean football: four stars, more than a century of history, and an official merchandising market that coexists with a huge parallel universe of pirated jerseys, caps, and flags in stadiums and street markets. The club needed its own online channel to defend the brand and give fans in the regions — and outside Chile — access to authentic products without depending on the physical store in Santiago.
What we did
We designed and built the club's official online store: a catalog of jerseys, kit, accessories, and merchandising, with product pages, cart, checkout, and a back office for stock management. The visual identity stayed close to the club's crest so fans would recognize it as the official site, not just another resale channel. We added a jersey customizer where fans chose a name and number before buying, capturing that printing decision within the same checkout flow. Logistics were connected to the club's existing provider for shipping across the country.
The outcome
The store went live as the club's official channel and operated for a time, fulfilling the role we built it for: giving fans in the regions and outside Chile a place to buy authentic products without depending on the physical store in Santiago. The project's continuity ended up tied to the commercial-partner changes that are common in sports club merchandising.
